Terms and Conditions

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Nordic Lights Care, including massage therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, food preparation, and delivery, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Services Offered

Nordic Lights Care provides a range of wellness services including in-person treatments and food delivery. We reserve the right to withdraw, cancel, or modify any services at our discretion and without prior notice. All services are subject to availability.

3. Bookings and Cancellations

All appointments must be booked in advance. We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee. Repeated no-shows may result in service restrictions.

4. Payments and Transactions

All fees for services are payable at the time of booking or at the time the service is provided. We accept EFTPOS, major credit cards, and direct deposits. Prices are subject to change without notice, and quotes provided are valid for a limited time.

5. Customer Expectations and Liability

While we strive to provide accurate and timely services, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our website or error-free service. Nordic Lights Care is not liable for indirect losses, including service delays, website outages, or unintended consequences of therapeutic treatment. Always consult your primary healthcare provider before making health decisions.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All content on our website, brochures, meal plans, skincare guides, and promotional materials—including text, graphics, logos, and designs—is the intellectual property of Nordic Lights Care unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, adapt, or redistribute any content without our written consent.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use our services and platforms for lawful purposes only. Unacceptable behaviours include:

Engaging in hate speech, bullying, or harassment
Posting or sharing misleading or fraudulent content
Sending spam or promotional material without permission
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems
Violation of this policy may result in service termination and, where applicable, legal action.

8. Account Management

We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to our services or online platforms if you violate these terms or misuse our services. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials where applicable.

9. Health and Safety Compliance

To ensure the safety of both clients and staff:

Clients must disclose relevant health conditions before therapy begins.
We reserve the right to refuse or modify a service if it poses a risk to the client or practitioner.
Food orders must include any known allergies; while we take precautions, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.
 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nordic Lights Care is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services. This includes but is not limited to physical discomfort from treatments, allergic reactions to meals, or delays in delivery.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Queensland.

This document outlines the responsibilities and expectations of both Nordic Lights Care and its clients. By booking or using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms stated in this agreement.

2. General Disclaimer

Nordic Lights Care offers wellness services designed to support general health, recovery, and well-being. However:

We do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medications.
Our services are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Clients should always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding medical concerns.
Any improvements in health and well-being are individual and not guaranteed.
 

3. Informed Consent for Therapy Services

By attending a massage therapy, occupational therapy, or physiotherapy session, you confirm:

You have disclosed any relevant injuries, allergies, illnesses, or health conditions.
You understand the nature of the services provided.
You give consent to proceed with the treatment plan discussed.
You may withdraw consent or pause the session at any time.
 

4. Food Preparation and Allergy Disclaimer

Our food services are designed to support wellness with nourishing, home-style meals. However:

While we take care to avoid cross-contamination, meals may contain traces of allergens (including nuts, gluten, dairy, soy, etc.).
Clients are responsible for informing us in writing of any allergies or dietary restrictions.
Nordic Lights Care is not liable for allergic reactions where full disclosure was not made or trace amounts were unavoidable.
 

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

Provide accurate, up-to-date health and personal information.
Communicate clearly about concerns, goals, or issues related to the service.
Arrive on time for appointments or provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Treat staff and practitioners with courtesy and respect.
 

6. Practitioner Rights and Boundaries

Practitioners reserve the right to:

Refuse or modify treatment if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
Terminate the session immediately in the event of inappropriate client behaviour.
Refer clients to other professionals when care needs are outside our scope.
 

7. Confidentiality and Record Keeping

Your personal and health information is collected and stored securely in compliance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your data without consent, except when required by law.

8. Fees and Payment

All service fees must be paid as outlined in our Terms and Conditions. Missed appointments without appropriate notice may incur a fee. Food deliveries must be paid in full prior to dispatch.

9. Cancellation and Late Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Arriving late to an appointment may result in a reduced session length.
Repeated no-shows may result in service suspension.
 

10. Emergency and Risk Situations

Our services do not replace emergency medical treatment. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call 000 or contact your GP.

Return and Refund Policy

 

Return and Refund Policy – Nordic Lights Care

At Nordic Lights Care, we are committed to providing high-quality services and products that support your health and wellbeing. If something doesn’t meet your expectations, we will do our best to make it right. This Return and Refund Policy explains the terms, conditions, and processes for returns and refunds.

1. Return Eligibility

We accept returns or refund requests under the following conditions:

a. Services (Wellness Bookings)

Services are non-refundable once rendered.
If you are dissatisfied with a service, please contact us within 48 hours so we can address your concerns.
Pre-paid sessions may be rescheduled or credited if cancellation occurs at least 24 hours in advance.
 

b. Meal Orders and Food Delivery

Due to health and safety regulations, food items cannot be returned.
Refunds or replacements may be issued for:
Incorrect meals delivered
Spoiled or damaged items
Orders not fulfilled
Clients must notify us within 24 hours of delivery and provide photo evidence if applicable.

3. Processing Returns and Refunds

For eligible product returns, you will receive return instructions via email.

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days from the date we receive the return or approve the refund.
Depending on your bank or provider, the refund may take additional time to appear on your statement.
